Girls Just Wanna...

Hi there!
We've been talking about food and eating in class and I thought you might like some music to go with that. Here's a peculiar version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" by Cindy Lauper, which was a big hit back in the early 80's. This version is by a peculiar singer and actor:

    Hi to everybody!

    I've enjoyed myself a lot because of this song, it's pretty funny!
    I love the original one "Girls just wanna have fun" and it's in fashion currently, because the famous group "The Killers" from USA has other new version of this song, here you have the link of the current version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHY4AoJZEqQ .

    Referring to the exercise, here are my answers:
    1: Lunch
    2: Shoes
    3: Wide
    4: Breakfast
    5: Neck (I'm not totally sure)
    6: Check

    And about the activity about spelling:
    Wanna = Want to.
    'Em = Them? I don't know, but I think it is because of the context of the song.
    'Cause = Because.

    You did perfect. Those are the right answers.
    And yes, 'em is short and colloquial for "them".
    I didn't know about that new version by The Killers, but I'll check it out. I like the original song very much too.
